ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A direct decendent from their independent film work, The Lost Patrol uses haunting female vocals framed by melodic acoustic and electric instruments. With tastes of pungent pop tendencies, a savory bombardment of wide screen instrumentals, surf laden guitar hooks, tales of lost love and tons of atmosphere, The Lost Patrol convey a living, breathing version of a movie soundtrack. Since it's formation in 2000, the group comprised of members from the New York and New Jersey suburbs has been blossoming into it's own brand of ethereal, toe tapping twang.

An Amazing Journey
This was not my first LP CD. Off Like a Prom Dress was my first, purchased here at CDBABY. After hearing OLAPD, I fell in love with this band. I saw them in Newark, NJ, across the street from where I work and bought this CD. As I got to my car to play it, the jewel case was empty! I emailed them about a replacement copy, which they did - we had a great laugh, and it was the beginning of a great friendship. This is really a great haunting album, full of dark instrumentals and the first signs of Danielle's rich vocals. Even if you hate the rest of this CD, tracks like "Rise Flames, Rise" and "Slowly" and "Voulez-Vous" are worth the cost. That's not the case though, the entire disc is wondrous music from beginning to end. It's nearly out of print and who knows if it will ever be reproduced in this same format. Definitely a must have for true music lovers. Morriconian shoegazing! Gorgeous!
