ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Luna Blanca – The first CD “New Flamenco Odyssee”.

Featured Track: No. 8 August Moon

Luna Blanca was founded in the year 2000. In addition to Richard Hecks as solo guitarist, the band was completed with Michael Müller-Löchte on rhythm guitar and percussionist Herbert Schmeinck. The first public performance of the ensemble was in May 2001 as part of the Bocholt concert “Just4Fun”. The sold-out performance received an enthusiastic response.

The same may be said of the formation joined by the pianist Helmut Graebe and bassist Werner Weißschädel in the following year, culminating in “New Flamenco Odyssee”, the first CD of the group. The press also celebrated enthusiastically the new sound. Successful performances in front of sold out audiences at various locations testify to the increased popularity of the group and showed that they had hit the musical nerve of a large number of people.

“New Flamenco” à la Luna Blanca thrills both young and old!
