ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This husband and wife team has been writing and performing their own music for many years, down a road that began in the early 70's: a journey that they now hope will come full circle to where they began-on stage, entertaining the masses!

Their combined song-writing abilities have left them with hundreds of original compositions, from rock'n'roll, country, and gospel, to their favorite -rhythm and blues. Their love of the blues has led to the formation of their latest group, The Stallions, featuring Lynnann.

Bill's love of the 12-bar blues, coupled with his endearing friendship with the likes of Jimmie Vaughan and his late brother, Stevie Ray, has added to his versatility as an instrumentalist-guitar, drums, piano, etc.-and as a vocalist...
Lynnann's vocal ability is a powerful example of pure soul-wrenching emotion! Her accomplishments include winning one of the spots in the Houston Music Council's 1997 Song Writing Contest, under the Blues Division, while singing with the "Brad McCool Band". The song "Feelin' Like" can be found on the H.M.C.'s 4th released CD.

Bill and Lynnann have played many places over the years, all the way from Fort Worth's Sylvania Club, and Waco's hottest spots like MC's25 Club, Buzzard Billy's, Cadillac Jacks, and the Harley Davidson Annual New Years Eve Bash, to Austin's hottest blues club, Antone's. Lynnann has sat in with other groups, like the 'Brad McCool Band', throughout the Houston area, at clubs like Billy Blues, The Big Easy, the Last Concert, and the Satellite Club(to name just a few). The Gandys are also quite well known for their beneit work and have also had the honor of rockin&rollin the masses at various festivals throughout the land!

*The Other Musicians Featured On This Album Are:

Ronny Griffin, a self- taught drummer, started playing drums in high school. His first band, Whiterock(1979-1982), played "Texas rock". In 1984,he joined an Austin-based, all-original band and recorded his first demo on 4-track. In 1997, Ronny started playing country music with bands Topaz and Laredo, in local Waco clubs. These bands were the house bands for Mother Reds Club. He later joined an established local band, the Hurricanes; they recorded their first CD in 1996, and opened for bands like Kansas, Fireball, Ted Nugent, Night Ranger, and Cris Duarte. In early 1997, Ronny joined Bill and Lynnann Gandy's band 'Lynnann and the Stallions'. This band's original music is like no other rhythm andblues you've heard-High Energy Rockin' Blues!

Harley Husbands was born in Waco, Texas, where he picked up the guitar and started playing when he was 12 years old, and hasn't stopped playing since. His hot licks and originality make him one of the top lead guitar geniuses around-an up and coming star! His main influences in the music world are: big brother Blake Husbands, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, BB King, Albert King,
and Chuck Berry. Harley has played with three other bands, the D'Java Heads, the Shake Rags, and the Towny Adams Band.He has played clubs like Austin's Antone's, Houston's Rockefeller's, Cadillac Jack's and MC's25 Clubs in Waco, and many other clubs, with the Stallions.

Timothy O'Dauncy is one of the countries top Bassist, and has weilded his axe from Canada to Australia and exotic places like Waco, Texas, where he studied music and audio technology in the early eighties. Born in the heart of Washingto State, Tim has been based in Austin ,Tx since 1992, where he has lent his talents to many bands and studios, recording CD's and TV commercial sound tracks. A versatile vocalist and muti-instrumentalist, Tim has recently moved to Oregon and will be missed mucho!

David Zajichek was the sound engineer on this album and also the slide guitarist. He's a top notch musician!...a musician's musician!

Very good album!!
This is an excellent band vocally, lyrically and musically. They are tight and play a nice blend of rock and "Texas" music. I am impressed and wonder why I have never heard of them before as I live near San Antonio, not too far from Waco! I will definitely be looking for other albums by them and will go see them if they play somewhere around San Antone one of these days.

For anyone who loves rythem and blues, you'll love this!
If you like Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Hooker, Jonny Lane, just to mention a few, you will LOVE this group. I have heard them play in Waco and Houston, and they can get the
house rocking. Lynnann is one of the best singers around.
You'll want to play this CD over and over, and then want more of them.
