Album Notes
The Mackrosoft "Trilogy of Four" ends here at the beginning, part zero: "The Dawning of the Aja Aquarius". Conductor Aja West guides a great team of musicians on a journey to the edges of funk, hip-hop, comtemporary jazz, and experimental fusion.

Four master drummers hold down the groove and guarantee dope beats throughout. Randy Guss (Toad the Wet Sprockett), Rich Lambert (Linkin Park), and the incredible father/son rhythm duo, Jason and Beck Vontver. Throughout the journey Skerik (Critters Buggin, Les Claypool) wields the sax like an electric guitar shredding through the mix while keyboard prodigy Alex Veley (Maktub, Dolemite) lays down the law on electric piano. Conductor Aja West plays analog synthesizers himself on this volume, much to fans delight.

Multiple excellent vocalists appear throughout the album in Sly Stone/James Brown Style. Seattle soul man Darius Wilrich and Los Angeles sirens Heather Porcaro, Anne Montone (Elephonic), and Holland Greco (Peak Show) light up the album with their vocal flourishes.

Produced and recorded by Aja West in Seattle, Los Angeles, and The Netherlands at Mackrosoft Studios. Featured radio singles are "Bolero" and "Thank You All".

Clinton, Stone, Hancock - and something like D'Angelo"

The funkiest of the Trilogy! Dope. The best.
Out of this world! This is as funky as any of the other three albums in the trilogy and that's saying alot. Skerik from Critters Buggin kills it on that electric sax. All the keyboard players are dope. I think this is the last record synth prodigy Alex Veley did before moving to Brazil. "Aquarius" solidifies "The Mackrosoft" as THE premier working funk group leaving all these so called acid jazz cats in the dust.

The best of of the 2000's.
I just bought all "The Mackrosoft" Cd's because the price was right and i was intriqued by the descrptions. Way better than anyhting I've heard in this genre since 1976. I wasnt planning on liking it because I didn't like some of the tiles but I completely understand it now! Wow! I think we have a major talent on Planet Earth. Hopefully somenone will give Aja West props in his life time or I thnk he'll cut off an ear like Van Gogh!!! Aja, keep your ears on and you will succeed in the long run!

Your kidding me, so DOPE!
This is stupid dope. I don't know how I wasn't up on these guys before. I'm kind of blown away. I'm not sure why this isn't giant, they probaby are on a small label so they can own their masters or something. I'm gonna email Aja and find out the sicience. Just buy this , don't be a foo. Funky, funky, funky, funky, funky hit record!!!
