ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"One Man Die-Nasty," was recorded live on 2 track analog tape. This means that there was no mixing or production on the recording of this album. What you hear is how it happened. There are no overdubs. It is one man, one guitar, one take on each and every tune. This is the real, raw deal.

With a deep, distinctive voice and the integrity and honesty resonating in his openly sincere and original lyrics, Mark MacMinn will take your ear by storm.

"MacMinn is a pleasure." --URB Magazine

"A hillbilly Elliot Smith." --glasswerk.co.uk

"Mark MacMinn is like what would have happened if you took the voice of Johnny Cash, the raw delivery of Ani Difranco and the honesty of Tom Waits and put it into one artist! His songs are original and fresh...Can someone get this guy a record deal already?" --ifyouseekmusic.blogspot.com

Raised in Austin, Texas where he began his solo career with his independently released album We All Fall Down in 2003, this dynamic singer/songwriter has used his unique style and penetrating subject matter to his advantage and continued along his career path, releasing two more independent albums, 2004's Bon Voyage and 2005's Hot World. The latest independently released album, Hot World, has recieved incredible response for its catchy and profoundly emotional content. The title track is an instant hit, with its memorable lyrics and sound, and the track "Breakable" was featured in a local Los Angeles play Hyperbole : Epiphany in September 2005.

"Hot World is as Hot as the 105 degree weather here in Austin! LOVE IT! --Austinlive.com

With a distinctive voice and gut-wrenching, straightforward lyrics Mark MacMinn will thrust his genuinely authentic sound upon the open ears of all that welcome his southern flare and artistic integrity.

"soulful storytelling" -epitunes.com

"Mark MacMinn has a strong voice with a confidence that hasn't been heard in ages. His songs do more than entertain, they take the listener on a journey that is well worth the ride." --PopGardenRadio.com

MacMinn's melodic bellow, years of musical performance experience, brutally honest lyrics, and heart-wrenching songs create an environment and ambience that are irresistible and too good to miss.
