Ruins

by The Madeira

The Madeira plays surf music born of screaming wind over the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert, deafening echoes of waves pounding the Gibraltar Rock, joyous late-night gypsy dances in the small towns of Andalucia, and exotic cacophony of the Marrakesh town

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hot on the heels of their debut full-length CD comes a great new 5 song CD-EP by The Madeira. Released just in time for their 2006 West Coast tour, this disc features covers of songs by Dick Dale, The Treble Spankers, Paco de Lucia and The Surf Coasters, but done in a way that sounds 100% like The Madeira!

"The Madeira ain't your baby's surf music. Taking some twang from the first definition of the genre, The Madeira plays instrumental, rumbling rock, centered on the Fender guitar and surf beats."

Intake Weekly, an Indianapolis, IN weekly newspaper.

Unlike the Space Cossaks this is a continuation of the best surf sound.
This cd is just more of the addicting surf sound you can't get out of your head. Who Needs this cd? You do! Wanna bet me? You'll lose. Hands down. Once you start it you can't stop.
