Album Notes
"Madison Howard, better known as Mad Howard, has been writing songs for more than half of her life, which sounds even more impressive when you find out that she is only 15 years old.

At six, she was writing lyrics and dreaming about being a musician. But after her first taste of a recording studio, which resulted in her debut single “The Pen,” Howard felt the need to finish what she started.

The “ girl that lives in 100+ degree weather each day” and “mostly…sings about the ocean,” shows a potential and passion that isn’t found in many others of the same age."~ The Spec blog, Phoenix

I'm a 15-year-old. As teenagers, we tend to look at the world through a lens of apathy- we don't care about anything else beside ourselves, and anything to do with other people is thrown into the pile of "I don't care"s or "Who needs them"s, but, what if I alone could prove you wrong?

Through my music, I hope to show you that sometimes caring is letting go for the other person's benefit- maybe a time for them to sort out things in their head, or maybe a time for you to show them what the relationship was worth. My songs speak of forgiveness, regrets, and the occasional "crush" (the one where you actually get crushed, not the one where you just like a guy). My music is meant to be listened to and processed individually for each situation. I hope you'll take the time to create your own meaning.
