ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The evolution of MadMacz as an artist began through childhood, born in Chicago in June of 1982, his creativity began to form at an early age. Reading books, writing poetry, and drawing were all shapers in the formation of the artist. A troubled youth, many broken hearts, broken friendships, and trouble at home all helped contribute to the creation of his music. Eventually at age 13 he began to write full songs, and throughout the next 5 years would sharpen his lyrical skill. At the age of 19 Macz and 3 childhood friends began a hip hop group, and decided to take their love for music to the next level. Through many trials, tribulations, performances and musical growth stages, Macz decided in 2006 to move on at the age of 24, and see how he fared in a solo arena.

Therefore with determination, skill and some well crafted lyricism, he set out on his own. But this solo album would not prove enough to satisfy his "beast within", and with that, the independent label "UpRiseinc" was born, an independent label created to help propel his album as well as potentially help future artists achieve their musical destinies. Now with the help and support of friends, family and fans MadMacz has finished his first solo effort. Is the world ready? To quote MadMacz, "uncertainty's the only certain thing"
