ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Throwing off the chains of conformity to allow themselves the freedom of original music without labels, Malvado have proved themselves to be the premier hard rock band to emerge out of the mid-Atlantic in recent history. A true image of creativity, talent and professionalism, the band began their journey into the darkest regions of the musical soul in early 2000 amidst the separation of the band's predecessor, FIST; in which the remaining members decided to continue their desire to make unique, mysterious music by immersing themselves in the song writing process.

Malvado made their crushing debut in February 2000, and since then have been hard at work creating a powerful buzz and a loyal fan bas spanning the entire Mid-Atlantic region. In only a short period of time, Malvado have shared he stage with such national acts as Staind, Joan Jett, Drain STH, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Dope, Anthrophobia, Virgos Merlot, Vast, Second Coming and many, many more.

Malvado's debut album, released in the Summer of 2002, is sure to quickly become a staple in every hard rock lover's music collection, so be sure to check out the official website, www.malvadoband.com, for more information on the CD's release date, merchandise information and tour dates.

Sadly Missed
I was fortunate enough to hanging around with Malvado when this was being recorded. I never got to the studio sessions, but was there for a grat many of the taped practices. I'll never forget the show in Manhatten when we rode up on the Party Bus and got plastered both directions...lol. All the shows with Rebel Amish Radio....man good times. This band will challenge your mind and rock your soul. An unrepeatable perfection of harmony and discord. I miss you guys and hope you are each doing well. Matt, Dave, Lenny, and Chris - thanks for the memories.

Well produced, flawless sound
Definitely not my normal music, but I too found this hard to put down. Flawlessly produced and performed, this album sounds expensive. Their refined sound, solid talent, kickass riffs and nonstop energy make this album a winner.

In a world of three thousand different kinds of cereal, four thousand kinds of shampoo and at least ten thousand different brands of toilet paper, sometimes you just want something really basic, solid and uncomplicatedly fulfilling that you don't have to debate about! That's where Malvado comes in. This is simply just great, solid, no-frills grit rock that delivers. No co dependent whiny fluff, no bubbly, froufrou exterior, no "can you guess what I'm really saying?" lyrics. Ah, what a refreshing dish of solid, medium hard rock.

WARNING: Listen Carefully-- May Spontaneously Combust
Too hot to handle! All 4 members of the band are GORGEOUS to the extreme, AND very talented. This CD aptly showcases their unbelievable collective talent really well. The sound is something a little different-- unusual, but quite compelling. Really sexy.

I agree with PJ...This CD does Kick Ass!
Matter of fact...Lots of ass. Hard, crunchy, snarling, heavy rock...the way I like it. Great vocal mix, banging bass, excellent drumming & and kudos on the lyrics. If you like also, check out their newer CD as well. Recommend it!!

Simply Amazing
You'd be hard pressed to find anything out on the retail shelves who sound as solid as Malvado. They are a cross between Tool and Stone Temple Pilots with a sound all their own. Definately worth $10.00 to give this band a look. Simply an amazing original sound.

This cd kicks ass. The production was incredible. I don't know if this band is still around, but if they are I would like to see them. Congrads Malvado! Where can I see you?

Killer CD
I really wish these guys were still around. Malvado was, hands down, the best local band I've ever seen in Baltimore. The music still kicks ass. Thanks for the music gentlemen!

Great stuff
This is great stuff. Imagine Nickelback, if they sounded interested. This is a band with strong songs, a very impressive rhythm section, and a capable singer, and once the hooks get into you it's hard to resist. Some really good, chunky, memorable choruses here. Love it. Shame about the bland packaging though - it's unlikely to attract the casual buyer.
