Stop Laughing at Me

by Mandy Steckelberg

Comedy that really rocks. If Liz Phair and Fountains of Wayne had a musical baby, and that baby was very funny, it'd sound like this. Toe-tappin, belly laughin' stuff.

After years performing sketch comedy and improv in New York City, Mandy Steckelberg followed her heart west to become a cowgirl, but actually became a singer/songwriter, specializing in achey love songs and comedy.

"With Lilith Fair sincerity, 'comedy indie chick rock' act Mandy Steckelberg is strumming an acoustic and spewing delicate vitriol...she's like Sarah McClachlan on truth serum." (LA Weekly)

Raised on a ranch in Texas, schooled at Vassar College, Mandy is now living the dream in Los Angeles, where she plays gigs all over town and is also pursuing a career writing for television.

Mandy's also a co-host on a weekly podcast show! Listen at:

Jesus loves Mandy! For more info on that, check out Jesus's review of Mandy's latest music in "What Would Jesus Listen To?" where he features her as his favorite artist!

"Mandy is no doubt, one of God's most talented children. The song "White Claw" makes me laugh till my sides hurt." --Jesus Christ

From the 'Homeless Man'
Funny just scratches the surface. This girl is twisted but twisted in the right way. There's just gotta be a video for 'I Hate Everyone'. O, wait, there is and I'm in it. I laughed so much making it I forgot I was homeless. Casey

I wanna party with Mandy!
She's done it again - this is a great disc! The funny ones can make you shoot beer out of your nose, but then Mandy switches gears with a killer version of "Weekend in New England" that tugged on my heart strings a little. Worth every penny, and then some - I can't WAIT for Mandy to play Austin!
