Album Notes
Brazilian bassist, composer, arranger and producer.

Manoel Cruz was born in 1969 and raised in music environment playing since very young. He has studied in “Fundação das Artes” and “Universidade Livre de Música Tom Jobim” http://www.emesp.org.br/pt/home/ - one of most importants music universities in Brazil

For more than 20 years he is performing in Clubs, TV Shows, Festivals and Concerts as a sideman of many Brazilian and overseas artists as Adylson Godoy (Maestro e Pianista), Chico di Medori Grupo, Pery Ribeiro, Claudia, Mirian Mirah, Carmen Silva, Noite Ilustrada, Carlos Alberto, Silvinho, Art Popular, Grupo Malícia, Almir Guineto, Jovelina Perola Negra, Remix Samba, Cia Sargentelli, Adriana Godoy, Grazi Medori, Ana Brazil & Ronaldo Perez.

During that time he also did a lot of arranging and producing of pop and instrumental groups.
In 2003 he has recorded his first album called “Alcatéia”.
Nowadays he is working with his “Manoel Cruz Quartet” in Brazil Jazz clubs performing his own compositions that was recorded from a concert in Teatro Humboldt in 2010 releases in CD/DVD “Under My Soul”.

His compositions are Brazilian Instrumental Music with a taste of Brazil regional music (baião, samba jazz), classical and modern jazz.
