ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jimanica - Yu Ojima
Drummer/Laptop musician
Born in Tokyo in 1975, he started playing drums at 15 years old. After graduating from the Faculty of Visual Arts at Musashino Arts University, he made the move to New York in 1998 to begin a career as a freelance drummer. The year 2000 brought him back to Tokyo, where he soon formed the band 'moai' amongst a series of activities as a session player on numerous recordings and live performances.
In 2005, he unveiled his electronic/noise-based solo project 'Jimanica', releasing his first drum solo album 'Entomophonic' from the vanguard 'mao' label.
