ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Marcia Mello first picked up a guitar at the age of fifteen, and hasn't put it down since. This fourteenth generation native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts naturally eased into public performance earning a living as a busker on the colorful streets of Provincetown. In 2003, Marcia headed for London, England recording her music with Sterling Roswell of Spaceman 3. Her original piece, "Gypsy Davey" landed on UK's Butterfly Recordings compilation. "What The Folk" volume 2 in 2008. In 2010, her instrumental piece "Black Graham" appeared on the Orb's "Metallic Spheres" featuring Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. Ms. Mello spends her summers busking in Provincetown, MA, and winters on Portobello Road in London where her ethereal sound may be heard. She specializes in ragtime, classical, pre-war Blues and slide guitar. Her original music is a treat for the soul.

Lovely album
This is a wonderful album of both traditional blues and classical songs, as well as Marcia's originals! Gypsy Davey, Twilight and Black, Grey and Blue are my favorites.

Paul

Dreamy
Marcia is the loveliest person inside and out. It is always wonderful to hear her play music that is either authentic blues melodies from the past or to hear her new works. Always delightful and uplifting music.

Etta

beautiful sounds
Beautiful album! Marcia shows so much skill with her beautiful voice and slide guitar. I love that she has
included some instrumental tracks.
