ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
MUSIC ROW MAGAZINE-March 2002
Robert K. Oermann writes-
"Marcia Ramirez, an exceptional talent with a totally cool sound."
"I was hooked from the tin-whistle/acoustic-guitar strum intro. As if the super cool production wasn't enough, she's a bona fide poet/troubadour with a helluva song."

Marcia is a Singer/Songwriter who writes for Curb/Magnatone Publishing in Nashville. Former member of the underground Acoustic/Pop trio "The Janglers". "You Belong In The Sun", a song she co-wrote with the mysterious Writer X is on the new JoDee Messina's Greatest Hit's CD.

She is a busy session vocalist in Nashville and has backed artists on Keyboards/Vocals such as: Pam Tillis, Mindy McCready, Bill Anderson, Jason Sellers, Henry Lee Summer, Linda Davis, Claudia Church.

Background singer on albums by Ray Driskoll, Hal Ketchum, Shane MacAnally, Rodney Crowell, etc...

"Compromise" contains 9 incredible songs written from her own real life experiences.

Simply, beautiful music from a beautiful lady. The vocals on this disc are smooth and shiny and the songs are well written especially ' Is Anybody Listening '.

Marcia writes from the heart.
The songs on this cd are truly written and sung from the heart. Marcia is an unbelievable artist and if you ever are able to watch her perform, you will see an artist who truly loves what she is doing. Thank you Marcia. Please give us more.

Nothing Short of FANTASTIC!
This CD has been on constant repeat since I recieved it. It contains 9 amazing songs- all amazingly written! Prime Tracks for me are "Right Here" (which reminds me of something you would hear on radio right now), "Sorry for the Sane", "Unstrung Pearls", and "What I Wish For You" (a perfect song for graduation time!). This cd is a 10, I highly recommend it!

Jessie Mann

Too good for words!
9 songs...It seems like soo much more. EVERY song is a gem. Marcia is a truly gifted songwriter and these songs prove it. Mistake, Unstrung Pearls, What I Wish For You..I could go on and on. I don't know which is my favorite. I did at first, but everytime I listen, another one moves into first place. Great job Marcia! I can't wait for your new one!

Lloyd Morris

Very good!
Although my favorite track is definetly "Sorry for the sane",(and aren't we all), also quite good are "River of blue", "Compromise" and "Unstrung pearls". Hope there's more to come.

Refreshing, tasteful good music
This is an interesting cd -- very good musically, and the production is quite nice also. A good cd to sit back with and really listen to.

Awesome vocals, amazing songwriting!
This is a wonderful CD. This lady is an amazing vocal talent and totally ROCKS on the keyboard. All songs are very well written, in a wonderful "story telling" style. In the liner notes, Marcia says she hopes you know her a little better after listening. I'd say she succeeded in that goal. If you enjoy pure vocal talent singing well written music - you really should check out this CD.
First time through, I loved "Sorry for the Sane", which still remains a favorite, but I also LOVE "Unstrung Pearls" and "What I Wish For You."
Check it out - it's a FANTASTIC CD!!!
