I Don't Wanna Wait

by Marcus Bennett

Marcus Bennett is an artist that breaks boundaries without even knowing that they are there. "I Don't Wanna Wait" would be described as organic electropop with soulful elements of rock, blues, some hints of house with big hooks, both melodic & dramatic.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Marcus Bennett is a singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and his own record producer who was born and grew up in Brooklyn NY. Music reached Marcus at a very early age in his childhood. Being that his Mother and Father were both very much "free spirited" and into the arts, - (Mother was a dancer who shortly danced with Martha Graham and his Dad introduced him to the great history and stories of classic rock, singer/songwriters and Blues) - this had a profound effect on Marcus enabling him to look at music as a lifelong student and passion.

Early on Marcus learned how to play the piano then moved on to guitar and voice. From then on songwriting started to develop. "It comes to me in minutes. I'm constantly flooded with these ideas, melodies, lyrics, sounds and arrangements that get stuck in my head at all times during the day or night. Basically I have no choice but to prolifically write songs and respect the craft. The need to get these ideas out there in the open world forced me to get my own studio and become my own producer and engineer. I now have the freedom to do what I want when I want to do it." Marcus's voice along with his music have familiar elements to the ear but are uniquely his own.
