Album Notes
For over three years this band has existed as a heavy hardcore ministry 'Thy Kingdom Come'. But in the last two years we went out into our local community throwing down in bars, parks, houses all in the name of Jesus. These songs all embody the living Spirit of the community here in Corpus Christi at St. John's. Mariam birthed out of the collective crying out for a real raw and vulnerable take on what it is to be a follower of Christ. Embers is a song that begins like the book of Luke with Mary's magnificant and ends with the fire that Jesus brings. Saint Edmund tells us the OUR SEVERED HEADS STILL SPEAK because we have nothing to fear or hide. Lost Dreams reminds us that Heaven is coming to this earth once again and to be expectant. Tremble our darkest song provokes an American Christianity that has become a disease producing passive pew warmers. My Beloved Child reminds each of us of how God sees us... Beautiful. All is Grace contains the intensity of a hardcore song and the melody of a ballad calling forth all of us to believe that all is truly grace. Miracles illustrates the story of Daniel and the furnace as well as the feeding of the five-thousand by Christ reminding us that the miracles will never end. Embrace the Dawn is the first song we wrote as a group and calls us to come from self-inflicted exclusion into the embrace of a loving God. Siloam closes out the album proclaiming 'We can see. We are free.' this is our claim that our eyes can see injustice so let us go out and tear it to the ground. All proceeds from this album support our ministry in Corpus Christi 'Thy Kingdom Come' as we formulate community among the forgotten
