La Bumbunita

by Mariana Masetto

This is singer and percussionist Mariana Masetto's first solo recording. The artistic production of the album belongs to Facundo Guevara (also performing percussion on the album), and it was recorded at Puntoar Studios, with Mariana Baraj (vocals, percussion), Enrique Norris (flugelhorn, pigmeun horn, vocals, percussion), and Lucas Loberto (acoustic bass), as guests musicians. Traditional and popular music, with folkloric roots, from Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, and Colombia, with a refreshing perspective, discovering a magical acoustic universe, thanks to the beautiful voice from Mariana Masetto, the energy from the percussion instruments, and the profound warm from the guests musicians love and talent.

Album Notes
"...Folkloric music can be as jazz, a space for freedom, for a bold exploration, bringing the best of forgotten words and melodies to our grey present, these days, the singer and percussionist Mariana Masetto it's deeply involved in that wonderful task, folkloric music from Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, alive and kicking in Mariana Masetto's gentle voice, floating smoothly above an innovative and creative use of percussion..."
