"Changed" is the name of the Yvonne Marie's debut CD, and it has a sound all its own. From the hip hop sounds of "Don't Go", to the beloved hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness" this CD expresses Yvonne's relationship with the Jesus Christ in several styles. The sounds of R&B, Hip Hop, Classical, and Samba all can be heard, mixed with Yvonne Marie’s unique vocal style. Each song was written and produced by Yvonne Marie through the Holy Spirit, therefore the words are from THE WORD, which gives this CD power to change lives, penetrate hearts, plant seeds, and encourage the body of Christ. Yvonne Marie explained the title of her CD, “2 Corinthians 5:17 says ‘…if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation.’ The songs on this CD tell the story of how God changed me from being a sinful, insecure, guilt ridden, self-centered (the list goes on) woman, to a child of God who loves the Lord, and has the power to experience abundant life. He can do the same for anyone who accepts Him as Savior, and develops a personal relationship with Him.”
Yvonne Marie has ministered through music to many audiences with many styles of music. The youth choir of which she belonged sang many well-known hymns of the faith as well as contemporary Christian music. As a young adult at Grace Baptist church of Bowie, MD, she had the pleasure of being part of a choir of over 200 people, which performed many classical, contemporary and traditional gospel selections. Being a part of Bowie State University choir while earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education was a true learning experience for her as well. Yvonne Marie has also had the opportunity to be a vocalist with several worship teams, ministering the love of Christ through praise and worship music. Currently, she is a vocalist on the praise team and choir of New Life Fellowship Baptist Church in Hanover, MD, singing traditional gospel, and contemporary praise and worship songs.
Yvonne Marie's debut release "Changed" displays not only her musical talent, and awesome song writing ability; it also expresses her love for the Lord and heart for ministering the gospel to everyone, without compromise.
