Before co-writing this album, I challenged myself with the following question: "What if The Beatles wrote the kind of children's music that even adults might possibly admit to liking?" My question was rooted in the reality that I — call it fate — grew up listening to, and singing along with, Beatles songs — an experience that would later play an integral part in my acquiring the English language. I am not kidding, especially that I didn't even begin officially learning English in school until much later. With that in mind, Sandrine Altchoukian and I collaborated on crafting themes and words that were inspiring, entertaining, and educational — after all, and as part of the "Fluke and Duke ®" teaching method, these songs were meant to help immerse French school children aged 5 and over in the English language. Words and music evolved naturally as we made sure the sounds were pleasing to a younger audience, thus allowing their teachers to conduct the pedagogical sessions that are part of the "Fluke and Duke ®" Audio-ROM (enhanced) CD. I am happy to report that at the end of the first scholastic year, during which we extensively tested our method, 70 kindergarten students from a Paris-region public school got to perform these three songs on stage and before a live audience.
