Album Notes
Holiday Motel is the long anticipated debut solo release by Marisa Anderson, the songwriting and guitar whiz kid from the Dolly Ranchers. Featuring northwest indy stalwarts Mirah, sts(shemo, cadallaca, the haggard) and Melissa Collins(Discharge Information System), Holiday Motel is haunting collection of nine songs showcasing Anderson's unmatchable playing style as well as her proven lyrical prowess. Like a midnight phonecall from a friend you thought you'd never see again, Holiday Motel promises to melt even the hardest heart.

Warm beautiful music from a warm beautiful person! Thanks!

an underestimated beauty
This CD is fantastic as far as the world of folk goes. Marisa's voice is unparalleled as far as the world of lo-fi feminine singers go (competing with mirah). All in all, the CD is very strong and doesn't lag at any point. I don't really care for the Ford Falcon's a little too country for me. Other than that, it's a beautifully crafted CD, with haunting beauty as well as quiet exhaltation.

Great CD
This is a great CD for driving in the car. Marisa has a beautiful voice and her songs are very soulful. She is the embodiment of cool. Nothing on the top 40 radio stations can beat music like this.
