"Music has always been a part of my life," affirms Mark Hildebrand.Starting with the piano at age 7, he finally found his passion at fourteen when he switched to guitar. This passion is expressed in the wealth of styles he plays, ranging from blues, to rock and roll, to classical Music.
Mark pursued his classical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Victoria, and at the University of Victoria School of Music. He received the highest award given in BC, the silver medal, for his Grade 8 classical guitar exam. He has been constantly studying and practicing a variety of techniques since then.
Teaching privately for over twenty years, Mark has also been an instructor at Columbia Bible College, Summit Pacific College (formerly Western Pentecostal Bible College), and Northwest Baptist Bible College (Trinity Western University). He will be starting his fourth year with Pacific Life Bible College.
As a session player, Mark has recorded at music studios in BC, Canada and the lower mainland (Vancouver area).
