ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Akin to an intimate glimpse at an artist's sketchbook, Enduring the Going Hence is a collection of ideas and songs in various stages of development .
The opening song, All Aflame, found inspiration both in immigration stories and the eighteenth century Scottish novel Annals of the Parish, by John Galt . The Pressed Man is a reflection on one intense event in the life of Blaise Pascal, while The Cone Gatherers is an encapsulated reading of the excellent Robin Jenkins novel of the same name. Many of the album's wordless recordings find their reference in pastoral places of Mark's rural past..
