ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
MARK SHINE: born in the London to Jamaican Father and British Mother .Mark spent his younger years growing up in the sunny picturesque island paradise of Jamaica.
He represented Jamaica on the local and international scene in various competitions, becoming bolder and more confident with each engagement.

With influences including Lionel Richie,Sinatra, Billy Ocean, Azwad , Dennis Brown, Jimmy Cliff ,Peter Tosh, Marley, Steel Pulse,Papa San,Maxi Priest, to name a few;
Shine was eager to find a way to marry the myriad of musical greats that inspired him.

This feeling formed Rocsta Society, which produced an array of hits such as, "Fly me to the moon", "Jamaica", "One People" and the recently remixed "Addicted", compiled & promo only Sep. 2008 issue.

Mark Shine who is also fluent in SPANISH has produced an abundance of new songs that not only expresses the spirit of unity and love, but also transcends to all societies and cultures worldwide.
The colorful fusion of urban,jazz, contemporary rock and reggae flavors bring forth melodies of undeniable talent, readily felt and embraced by all who have been touched by his music.

Shine has endeavored to express his music to a wide spectrum of listeners, starting in Jamaica where he performed at the 2009 Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival. The performance left the crowd wanting more and reporters scrambling to get information on this electrifying and flavorful sound..
After television and radio appearances, as well as performances on multiple local media houses, Mark Shine and the members of his band continues to further enhance and develop their sound that is truly a genre of its own.
