MAR KZ fuses Rock, Pop and Classic Rock with a modern sound. Fronting the band, Dom Mar KZ sings lead vocals, and plays piano and guitar; Lu Cachie plays lead guitar, and Jode Delme holds it all together with thunderous zeal on the drums.
On January 30, 2006, having won Q107’s Have a Nice Gig competition, MAR KZ earned the great distinction of opening for Bon Jovi at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada, to a crowd of twenty thousand screaming fans. Local print media gave them great press, and they were also honoured at Toronto City Hall for their accomplishment.
It didn’t take long for promoters to notice them, and soon MAR KZ would find themselves opening a Def Leppard show at Rogers Bay Fest, 2007. Next, they were booked to open for the Eastern leg of the Scorpions’ 2007 Canadian tour with stops in Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Chiqoutimi, and Shawinigan. With an eye ever to the future, they began planning to record an album.
Having liked them from the start, Bon Jovi's long-time friend/producer/engineer, Obie O'Brien, produced and engineered MAR KZ‘s debut, self-titled album in Nashville, Tennessee in the Fall of 2008. Following the Canadian release of their new CD, MAR KZ plans to do an official release in Nashville – the place in which their album was born. MAR KZ‘s music will take you on a journey through life, love, faith, dreams, and Rock ‘n Roll.
