ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
MASILVA is a Latin Trip Hop act -featuring Colombian singer/songwriter Camilo Masilva and Brazilian programmer/percussionist Diego Ain- in which urban and poetic lyrics are backed up by spacey yet groovy backgrounds that bring together Colombian rural tradition and modern day global sounds.

Their debut album "Criollo Businessman" (released independently in July 2009) features 10 songs that blend traditional Colombian rhythms with Trip Hop, Funk, Reggae, Break Beats and Drum & Bass and features guest musicians such as Colombian percussionist Shango Dely, Senegalese singer Seydina Mboup, and Flamenco singer Antonio Nuñez "El Ranki" among others. Recorded and mixed in Madrid and mastered in the UK, "Criollo Businessman" is an outstanding first impression of a project that promises more great music and lyrics yet to come.
