This album is not your typical indie hip hop album. It features the hot flows of The Chalkskin Posse (Rich Prophet, J-Man, and Lord Xzylor), an offering from Arab Money, sexy vocals of Kathy Robbins, beats from Godson, rock from The Sneaker Kings, superior key manipulation by child prodigy Chase Pado, sitar shredding by Rama, and an assortment of instrumentals by Yochanan Winston Ph.D.
M.C. Chalkskin first came on to the music scene in the popular 1990's era boy band, The Boy Heat Boyz. His silky voice and sultry dance moves rocketed him to stardom.
Now over ten years later, it may seem like a large departure for Whitey McChalkskin to move from pop to hip hop, but rap has been in his blood since he first heard a Grandmaster Flash beat in the early 80's. An enthusiast from an early age, he started going to every concert and festival he could. That's where he first met Darius Limner Jackson, an aspiring beatboxer who would grow up to become D.J. Pop'N'Fresh and produce the majority of Chalkskin's music.
The duo made their first recordings in 1985 in the basement of the Chalkskin's Orange County home, using a tape deck and mimicking the stylings of the Fresh Prince and Run D.M.C.
This is their first full studio album!
