ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Motor City Sheiks
Working Everyday
Top Flite, released 1999

“The Sheiks draw their style from a pallet of vintage post war urban Blues, from this they create a fresh and unique brand of blues that is all their own”
Linda Yohn WEMU 89.1 FM

This album has a n honesty about it due in part to it’s sparse production technique. The entire album was recorded live “off the floor” with no overdubs or special effects, the result is some really good Blues with a very laid back feel.

Wixom Slim of Wixom Slim & the Wyze Gyze

The Sheiks Mark Robinson is truly a Motown Harmonica legend!
This band is a "Must have" blues CD for any well rounded blues collection. Every player in the band has received accolades for their great performances... Lead singer and harpist Mark Robinson, is truly one of the greatest harp players to ever come outta Motown and I think my opinion does count as a gigging harpist - Wixom Slim/(Detroit artist and fellow CDbaby artist)
