ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A follow up to the "Outpost" digital ep from August 2012 this is the first full length album from danish Mechanical Principle. The music is still uptempo, HI-NRG, Italo Disco inspired instrumentals - apart from "Laser Love" which features a vocoder voice.

The tracks on "Voyager" are fast paced focused on lush melodies with lots of energy - it's a happy album with a few melancholic parts.

The titles on "Voyager" all refer to life in the future, in space, Now. The voyager is You - the listener!

All tracks were composed, recorded and produced by John R. Mirland in his small studio "The Sweatshop" - the same studio used by another project of John R. Mirland's "Holm/Mirland".

John R. Mirland mainly uses analogue synths for the Mechanical Principle sound - warm and organic.

"Voyager" is released through New York based label Audio Visual Algebra.
