1. Allegretto-Andante moderato- Allegretto
2. Adagio - Andante
I wrote this piece to pay my personal tribute to classical sonata form and its masters Mozart and Beethoven.
However, this piece does NOT follow sonata style exactly and it differs in some aspects. For example, "exposition" is not clearly separated from "development". Also in "development" section, it does not develop in traditional way, rather I bring out a new theme which is an interpretation of the main theme.
Also there is a common theme hidden at the heart of all 3 movements that connects them all together, as if they are truly different chapters of the same story.
I call this style neo-classicism (for lack of words) and I am planning to compose more pieces in this style. I am a self-taught musician and love to experiment with old styles.
