ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mehdi Afshar came to prominence in Afghanistan through the very popular program, Afghan Star, in 2007, where he took 3rd position, from over 2000 contestants.

Originally from Herat city, Mehdi Afshar has a unique voice and has quickly built a huge following in Afghanistan and abroad.

This CD is the culmination of over 12 months of work in Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The CD is an enhanced CD and includes one video clip from the title song, Khaab-e-Telayee.

The music is pop but infused with local Afghan rythms and melodies, and also features local regional instruments.
