ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After featuring on the track “Meri Jaan” (From the Album Exposed) Singer, Song writer, Maindi is now finally featuring on the new single Pyaar Da Jahaan, truly blessing each listener with his exceptional, classical and articulate vocal ability thus compliments his legendary vocal tone.

Maindi was born in Singapore, and was raised in Punjab (Pind Fateh Jalal – Kartarpur) with his well respected Parents, elder brothers and sister. He was raised in a small but spiritual village where he grew up listening to the memorable, Yamla Jatt, Mohammed Sadiq, Barkat Sidhu, and Surinder Kaur.

Maindi was raised with a family oriented lifestyle and grew as a free-spirited child with a natural ability to make his own decisions. He grew to be creative and when he moved to London with his family, He found himself inspired by the Hollywood traditions and Fashion.

Maindi’s music and singing passion originally started from when he was in his mid 20’s in India, Punjab. He fell in love with the legends like Kalyan Ji and Anand Ji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Mohammed Rafi, and Lata Mangeshkar, just to name a few.
Qawwali’s, Ghazals, and Sufi mystics, were among his much-loved taste in the Eastern Music Culture. Morning Classical riyaaz (vocal warm up) is a must as he was taught this by his Classical teachers at Bharitiya Vidya Bhavan who were students of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, the legendary classical Ustad.

Never the less, As much as Maindi had great enthusiasm for the Indian (Hindi) melodies and compositions he also saw no limits in the western music culture, His much younger childhood revolved around immensely inspiring artists such as, Nat King Cole, Glen Miller, Elvis, Temptations, and many more from that timeless Soul period.

Maindi is an all around world music listener, and has a gifted ear for music.

The single Pyar Da Jahaan is a very sweet sounding traditional Punjabi song that meets British Electronica. Most definately a favoured Gharou Music and Djinn Music release appealing to all age groups and audiences’ globally.
Produced by the talented singer and songwriter Mehi, This single also includes remixes from Ammo and Djinn.
