Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice often referred to as yogic sleep with awareness. The goal of Yoga Nidra is to get into a deep meditative state with full body relaxation. Yoga Nidra involves guided imagery and body scanning and addresses both physiological and neurological needs. There are four different stages in Yoga Nidra and although not everyone will reach the advanced stages, most will experience a satisfying level of rejuvenation.

Through guided Yoga Nidra meditation, you are taken to a state of consciousness where you are awake but are still acquiring the benefits of deep sleep. You are taken through progressively deeper states of consciousness.

Through these deeper states of consciousness, you are able to connect to your subconscious allowing you to work through potential issues and problems. Many people have experienced Yoga Nidra meditation to be an effective and beneficial treatment for a wide variety of emotional and mental disorders.
