Album Notes
We recorded this album on a TASCAM 8 Track at our friend Honey Davis's studio in Hollywood. Due to a plethora of cats and catshit in the studio stinking up the joint, we called the studio Catship Studio. We recorded the album to have something new to sell when we went on the road with the Notorious Revolting Cocks in the 1990s.

Many of the tunes lyrical theme's reflected Duce's slide into poverty, such as Panhandler, and Cardboard Condo. This was not fantasy but reality.

Sickie's fantastic leads, drenched in echoplex are all over this masterpiece, which has been remastered for CD from the original cassette by Shawn Franklin of the underground pop cult band, the Scallions.

ROCK BIBLE...finally!
Are you kidding? This record is up there with the classic "You axed for it" & "Up the dose"! I have the original cassette and it's impossibe to find. It's about time that this opus was made available to the masses. If you don't have this or have never heard it...BUY IT THIS MINUTE! El Duce LIVED this respect to the king and TREAT yourself to this jewel! Precious jewels in your mouth!

Rock Bible on CD!
I\'d been waiting a while for this one to come out on CD. This is a classic Mentors album. It\'s raunchy, funny as hell and the music shreds.

I've been waiting years for this album to finally show up on CD. Now it's here and my Mentors collection is complete. Definitely a great album in my opinion.

Talk about bringing back memories! I had this on cassette back in the day, and hadn't heard it for a good 10-11 years, and it was just like going back in time. Great stuff!

This is an odd release by the Mentors. Most of the drumming is actually done by Insect on Acid, who is a friend of the band. I believe the only songs where Duce drums are jump through the hoops and hilljack heaven. And Insect is not nearly as good as Duce. Not to mention Sickie doesn't play all of the guitar. So of course, the disc doesn't hold up to the greats such as Up the Dose, Get up and Die, U Axed For It, etc.

That's not to say that this album doesn't have some great moments on it. Hilljack Heaven is one of the best Mentors tunes. Sexual Fantasies and Jump Through the Hoops are pretty cool too. Thee ae some truly smokin' leads courtesy of the great Sickie Wifebeater. And it's awesome that the album is finally available on CD (bootlegged copies sold on ebay for over 200 dollars!.) Listening to the tracks here on cdbaby, they do sound better than on the original cassette, probably due to the remastering. It is definitely reccommended to anyone who is a mentors fan, though it is far from their best release.
