ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Alas, for it seems as though we've all been dwelling inside a tremendous whale.Make haste: we've to escape, or our very beings, both corporeal and spiritual, face certain digestion. We've readied a vessel, and a seat for you awaits..."

Metro-Ongen started out making the kind of specialist, some might even say 'introverted', music that you might hear playing in an import-record shop, and from there, further expanded on their expressive and musical abilities by playing in numerous events and gigs. From that time, they have cultivated a tightness and groove that doesn't just have a resounding beauty, but which also makes you want to move, in the same way that you'd feel when listening to a good club track. With the band having developed the kind of flexibility and force that picks up a crowd and takes them along with them, the tracks that Metro-Ongen are producing are something of a rarity; good guitar music that you can dance to.
