ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Having known and admired Mark Harris Nelson since he was knee-high to a grand piano, I'd like to be able to compliment him on his work on this CD by saying 'Mark, you've done it again!' But then I really can't because niether Mark nor anyone else (as far as I know) ever composed movie themes for non-existent movies! However, what Mark has done is just what he intended: composed and played a series of soundtracks that are (1) easy listening, and (2) aimed directly at the listeners soul, which, as you may have noticed, is a destination rarely aimed at these days. Don't expect you or your soul to hum any of these themes at first hearing, however, unless your retentive powers far exceed mine (I've been trying to get David Raskin's 'Larua' theme exactly right since 1944). But I don't think that is Mark's real intent with these six lovely themes anyway. So just carve out a half hour of spare time some day soon and have a listen. And expect you and your soul to have a marvelous time."
