Album Notes
Violin Ship is a journey aboard Michael Beese's electric violin. Violin Ship was recorded in 1992. Michael Beese played electric violin, keyboards and sequenced drum parts and Charles Quagliana played the bass. Near the end of the piece there is what sounds like a shredding electric guitar solo. There is no guitar on the piece. That was an electric violin played with various techniques and equipment to make it sound like a crunchy distorted electric guitar. Michael Beese's violin was designed to look like a 1959 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar with a white pearl finish.

On February 11, 2013 Michael Beese celebrated 50 years of violin playing with a performance at the Hotel Utah in San Francisco.
