Album Notes
I was working at Guitar Center about 5 years ago, and I found out one of my guitar idols, Phil Keaggy, was coming to do an in-store performace. I was very excited to see one of my heroes up close. The day arrived and we were getting the stage ready for Phil. I was asked to plug in an acoustic guitar and check line levels. While I was on the stage, they let everyone into the store for the show and they all came in and sat down while I was checking monitors. The sound guy motioned to me to keep playing, so I started playing the material I had been working on for this record. After about 25 minutes, they signaled me that Phil was about to start so I unplugged, got off the stage and sat down just as Phil walked on and began his show. As he began playing I realized I had just opened for one of my heroes, Phil Keaggy. Then I realized that I will never be as good as he is and HE'S missing a finger, so I ran up on stage and tackled him right in the middle of "County Down", his guitar sailing through the air as I twisted Phil Keaggy's arm behind his back like a big brother until he screamed for mercy. Then I got his autograph and went home and made this record. THE END.
