Michael Fracasso is a badass folkie with a sweet Italian tenor and has been compared to legendary singers Roy Orbison and Gene Pitney. He resides in Austin, TX where he was voted best new artist upon his arrival in 1990 by Third Coast Music Magazine. An acclaimed songwriter, he has recorded with Charlie Sexton, Lucinda Williams and Patty Griffin and recently has cuts on Ribbons of Highway: Tribute to Woody Guthrie recording. His seventh CD, Red Dog Blues(May 2007) was number one on the Americana Charts in Europe. He will be touring in Europe in Spring 2009.
