Album Notes
The Michael Hitchcock Trio provides an exploration and celebration of the jazz of the 1930s for acoustic guitar, mandolin, bass and drums. Hitchcock and bassist Larry Gault have played together foro0ver 40 years. Drummer Steve Benson has worked with them for the last twenty-five of those years. Over this time they have developed a unique approach, both to their instruments and to the music of Goodman, Basie, Ellington et. al.
