ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
First Black Nation is a story of the January 12th, 2010 earthquake in Haiti told through music, informed by the heartbreaking reports I heard on the radio, and the images I saw on television broadcasts as it unfolded. Writing this music was my way of dealing with the unimaginable catastrophe. It is my hope this will help memorialize the souls lost so tragically, and to remind us to cherish our every breath.
