Michael Riser takes a humorous shot at the "29 or under" age limitation rule which prohibits many talented singers from legitimately competing in the American Idol talent show, simply on the basis of age.
The country music influenced rocker releases this, his first country single, in response to the explosive popularity which his hilarious YouTube Video has enjoyed. View the video on his website at www.MichaelRiser.com or at www.YouTube.com/MichaelRiserBand
"I was a little surprised at how many people this video and song really connected with, and how emotional some of the responses were that I received", remarks Riser, "then I realized, this is the first time in America's history that we actually are begining to have more middle age and older people than younger people. And the term 'Too Old' is probably hitting home with more of them then it used to." "One radio personality said it best to me after one of my interviews", recalls the 30+ singer, "it's funny how American Idol doesn't encourage an age limit on WATCHING their show".
Regardless of the controversy that his video and song seems to have stirred up, Michael Riser appears to be keeping it all in humorous perspective. "We all go though alot of different phases and moments in life, sometimes serious, other times funny. Music is an artistic reflection of these different moments in life. And once in a while, it just feels good to laugh, even if it's while your singing. If your lucky, life isn't always so serious, so why should music always have to be?"
