ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Celtic Collection is an enchanting tapestry reviving the authentic style of Traditional Celtic music. Comprised mainly of old Irish Immigrant Ballads. Mick's passionate tones define the very soul of these truly magical Celtic lands. His music is the water of life and the whiskey of passion! It denotes all our joy and all our sadness, it is music to live for and to die for!
Instruments used in A CELTIC COLLECTION are:
6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, viola, violin,
button box, penny flute (tin whistle), wood flute,
5 string and tenor banjo's, and bodhrán (celtic hand drum).
Mick recently retired from his "real job", and is now pursuing the true love of his life, his music! Organizing, re-recording and self publishing all the songs he's composed over the years. His first CD "IN THE WAY" is arranged, composed and performed by Mick was self released in 2002 and is also available here on CD Baby.

EXCELLENT!!!
I loved this CD. Got it about a week ago and have been playing it daily ever since. If you like Celtic music, this is one you don't want to miss.

In The Chips Recording

This is the ONLY Irish CD to buy this year!
The CD features twelve traditional vocal covers. The songs range in diversity from the age-old ‘Star of County Down’ to Paul McCarntney’s popular ‘Mull of Kintyre’. All songs feature his haunting Irish vocals.
He brings soulful experience and a wonderful Irish brogue to his vocal adaptations of traditional Irish music.

Great Celtic Music!
”We just received the new release A CELTIC COLLECTION from Mick Zengel and are airing it during our eclectic AAA/Americana programming as well as on our late evening folk show. We think it’s a wonderful addition to the world of Celtic music. Give it a try! “
