ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born in Lachine, Quebec, Mike began writing music at twelve and performing at fifteen. Influenced by alternative, if not quirky, Blues, Folk and Country musicians and lyricists, Mike focused on developing his own voice and style after moving to Boston in 1984. He relocated to Vancouver in 1994.
His songs don’t go down standard roads musically or lyrically, so while his material is derived from current events – political or personal – Carew’s songs aren’t written to get a point across. Instead, they are intended to provoke thought, generate questions … and to maybe push a few buttons.
