Mike Snowden handcrafts unique cigar box guitars out of discarded cigar boxes and high quality exotic hard woods. Each cigar box guitar is meticulously produced from his Marietta shop. With over 450 cigar box guitars made to date, his love for all types of music is built into every cigar box guitar. Each cigar box guitar has its own unique tone, feel and look. Mike specializes in three and four string electric cigar box guitars that are easy and fun to play. Whether you are a beginner or a long time picker these instruments provide hours of musical possibilities. If you are looking for a unique gift or if you are a musician looking for some inspiration, Mike Snowden's cigar box guitars will provide hours of enjoyment.

Mike Snowden has played the electric bass guitar for over twenty years in several touring and recording bands. Mike has been in bands that toured the United States and Canada, opening for bands such as The Indigo Girls, Joe Cocker, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Dave Matthews Band, and many others. He enjoys playing live shows with his cigar box guitars and currently has three CDs featuring his original cigar box guitar music.

Mike Snowden's first self-released record "Summer in the Fields - Cigar Box Guitar Instrumentals is a collection of all original instrumental songs written by Mike Snowden and performed on his Cigar Box Guitars. Mike's next record "The Legend of Boondock Jones and his Faithful Cigar Box Guitar" is also a collection of original songs written by Mike Snowden and performed on his Cigar Box Guitars. Join Boondock Jones on a journey through the American South on this collection of songs. Cigar Box Guitar STOMP is a collection of ten original songs written and performed live in the studio by Mike Snowden. Each track features a three or four string cigar box guitar handcrafted by Mike Snowden. Mike also sings and plays kick and snare drum with his feet for a truly live one man band sound. If you like hard driving rockin' blues with a roots rock attitude and a heavy slide this album is made to order. Produced, Engineered and Mixed by Tom Tapley (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Sugarland etc.) at The Projector Room in Decatur, GA.

Mike’s new single Mr. Evil was recorded live at The Projector Room, Decatur, GA on the evening of April 25th 2012. Mike performs Mr. Evil with a three string Cigar Box Guitars, foot drums, and a glass slide.
