Album Notes
All About Jazz 2006 says, "Donahue is a man of ideas. He writes with his focus on the mainstream, but he keeps his compositions diverse, a move that makes his work interesting. He adds further twists of flavor with the different line-ups he uses. Joey Calderazzo sets the flex, his piano lithe as he creates a welter of becoming patterns. Donahue is a robust player but he leaves enough room to manipulate and shape a melody."

Ejazz news May 2006 says, "Some guys possess all the talent… he's an exceptional crisp and promising soloist, as well as a gifted composer. Miles possesses an astonishing array of stylistic and artistic gifts which he delivers with penache vis-a-vis his instruments. Also, his graceful symmetry as he faultlessly executes his horn lines. All in all, Miles Donahue is confident and all embracing and is certainly a viable technician with the potential to become a myth in his own era."
