Formed in early 2009 between established Nashville singer-songwriter David Condos and members of his backing band, Milktooth is relatively new to the indie rock landscape. In the short time since their inception, however, the band has promptly toured across the southeast and earned a stellar reputation for their haunting arrangements and blistering live performances. Perhaps even more impressive is that they've already been hailed as "mesmerizing" by NPR's All Songs Considered and "simply magnetic" by The Deli Magazine.
For their second release, Milktooth decided to make the record they'd always wanted: a vinyl record. Titled "Halloween in Santa Ana," each limited edition 7-inch vinyl comes with a hand-stamped, hand-numbered sleeve and a download code for receiving the digital versions of sides A and B. The bonus download package also includes the new studio version of Milktooth's take on David Bowie's "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)."
Like their debut EP, "Halloween in Santa Ana" was produced in Nashville, TN with their longtime friend Tom Laune (R.E.M., Alex Chilton) and mastered in Montreal, QC by Harris Newman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade). Now, exclusively through CD Baby, all three new recordings are available as a-la-carte downloads.
