ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With two acclaimed releases of impassioned indie rock already under their belt, the young Nashville band Milktooth returned to the studio in early 2010 with new acoustic versions of a few fan favorites from their first year of touring. The idea was to deconstruct the songs down to their cores and then record them all together live in a completely different style than how they had been previously released.

The result is a distinctly dynamic collection of unplugged performances that feature autoharp and fiddle (courtesy of Eleonore Denig) and hint at the band's Tennessee roots more than anything Milktooth has done thus far. The Acoustic Sessions were produced in Nashville by Tom Laune (R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen) and mastered in Montreal, QC by Harris Newman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade).
