Album Notes

She's an original and one of a kind.”
-Jef Labes (Van Morrison)

"Classically trained, world class blues fusion. Killer."
-Tom Wright

Mindy has been playing the piano since age 4, and flute since age 9. She learned how to read music before she could read words.

Classically trained, her earliest influences were jazz and blues, and later, soul, funk, roots, rock n roll….and anything else she could wrap her flute or keyboards around.

Over the years, Mindy has performed with Albert King, Michael Bloomfield, Boz Scaggs, Nick Gravenites, It’s A Beautiful Day, Dan Hicks, Charlie Musslewhite, Merl Saunders, Harvey Mandel, Barry Goldberg, Roy Blumenfeld, Barry Melton, Roberta Donnay, Roger Glenn, Ray Obiedo, among many others.

Mindy currently plays with her band, The Ground Breakers and various artists in concert, festivals, private events, and as a studio musician.
