Album Notes
The songs on The Rainbow Album were inspired by my life experiences, i.e., road trips out West, relationships and trips to exotic tropical islands. They also include tributes to accomplished heroes of mine, both musical and historical, a ballad to an eccentric outlaw and a latin/jazz/rock composition inspired by my Cuban heritage. All of the songs were composed on my acoustic guitar, an Alvarez Yairi, and were later expanded, developed and arranged to include tasteful lead guitar licks, saxophone, live drums and percussion, flute, piano, trumpet and trombone. The project took over five years to complete. All of the songs include tracks laid down by some of the best musicians in Miami and the U.S. The songs were recorded and mixed by some of the best engineers anywhere. This has been one of the most exciting and fulfilling creative journeys of my life.
