"I wanted to take my mask off on this album, try to make a debut that garbs on to you and doesn't let go, that shows the naked truth and states "This is Me- skin and bone", says Sweden born singer and songwriter Mirva.
After the making of the "Mirva- Limited Edition EP" recorded in 2005 and Mirva's song "Your Eyes" was chosen as theme music for a prize winning Film I Värmland- documentary, her trail of progress has been reflected through media on radio programs, compilation albums and in music magazines around Sweden, Mirva: "My album is the result of all the hard the work over the last few years. It feels really special, It's been a wonderful journey and I've met so many amazing people across the world that have helped me make this dream come true", she says and continues: "The album name "We're Here Now" seemed appropriate, both on a personal and a more worldly level. In life, all we have is NOW, this is where we are at, right here, me and all other mortal beings. The future is in our hands, its up to one and all what we make of it."
Mirva is the first musician in Sweden to release her album in an environmentally friendly packaging and says she feels it's important to take resonsibility on all levels, she believes it must be easy to choose the environmentally friendly option and alternatives that won't cost us our future in this world. The cover is made in Sweden with environmentally friendly cardboard and printed with vegetable based ink, Mirva now wants to be a link to other independent musicians in Sweden that wants to do the same, she explains: "I think more independent artist would love to go the eco-friendly way in Sweden but they haven't known how to do it, now they have the option, hopefully me doing this will create a trend that lasts, that's the aim."
The singer and songwriter currently lives in London where also the video for the first single Save Your Prayers was recorded by Australian Jason Burns. Jason has won a number of awards for his amazing skills in the trade and just recently picked up a PROMAX- award in the category "Best Theatrical Release Trailer" for his work with the Korean film Lady Vengeance. Besides Jason's work in the film industry, he has also recorded a video for singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem, Mirva; It's wonderful to work with such a talent like Jason on this video, he is truly a wonderful artist. Jason has got the ability to deliver magic in everything he does, under all circumstances. Since I've lived in Australia a great deal of my grown-up life, it's wonderful to be able to work with some Australians, both on this video and on the album, I feel very fortunate to be part of such an amazing team!"
